I just finished reading the Dalai Lama and Howard Cutler's The Art of Happiness in a Troubled World, http://tinyurl.com/ybevq59 so my thinking is being influenced by that and another book I am reading with my grandson, Daniel Pink's Drive.

What about a different response to the times? How about The Art of Learning in a Troubled World?

Outlook: We have the ability, desire, and will to overcome the obstacles and achieve our goals.

Attitude: This is important and we won't give up.

Motto: "For all those whose cares have been our concern, the work goes on, the cause endures, the hope still lives and the dream shall never die."

Mission: For all those whose cares have been our concern... Now, what do we know about the administrators, teachers, students, and conditions in today's schools and what do we know about empathy, compassion and motivation that we can leverage to bring about positive change in our schools for the good of humanity?
